He places first in freestyle, folkstyle, Greco-Roman divisions at tournament

Lake County Elite Wrestling sent seven wrestlers to the SAWA Spring Championships on Saturday in Sacramento where they competed in three different styles -- freestyle, folkstyle and Greco-Roman.

Carter Rudolph dominated his intermediate divisions with first in all three disciplines, which earned him the SAWA Triple Crown Award.

Gabriella Fernandez collected firsts in folkstyle and Greco and a third in freestyle in the novice division.

Gabriel Ambriz, competing in the schoolboy division, placed second in folkstyle and third in both freestyle and Greco. Hayden Fowler also competed in the schoolboy division but fell just short of placing at the event.

Lake County Elite rookie wrestlers competing at the SAWA tournament were Lucas Carr, who was second in both freestyle and folkstyle; Jeremiah Dix who was third in freestyle and Greco; and Daniel Soria, who was third in both Greco and folkstyle.

Next up for Lake County Elite is the SCWAY Freestyle State Championships & Spring Folkstyle Championships in Oakdale. Rudolph, who was named to the SCWAY Kids All Star Team, will be presented with a singlet and jacket during an awards ceremony at the event.
